Kits come with all materials and detailed instructions to complete the scene as shown. All kits (and workshops, for that matter) are illustrated by three guides who will walk you through every step of the building process.
Japanese Moonlit Room (1/2" scale) $45-$59
This small box measures about 6 x 6 inches and 4 deep (15 x 15 x 10 cm) and is a small version of the 1" Moonlit Room above.

This too is an LED and batter powered piece.
The Convent of St. Teresa (1" scale) $190-$220
A serene and tranquil setting, the Convent is a beautiful room box measuring 8 x 8 inches, and 4 deep (20 x 20 x 10 cm).

The Convent was a huge hit in 2010, and its success lies in the sense of calm austerity projected from aged beams and plaster, all of which you will create.

FYI: This kit requires a tiny amount of soldering.
Prima Serata (1/2" scale) $65-$80

Darkness is slowly descending in this bucolic village not far from the Mediterranean, and the soft glow of quiet lights guides your way as the subtle hues of rosemary, tomatoes, olive oil and dark red wines waft through the evening air.

Prima Serata is a "cramped 1/2 scale" setting. Power by battery, meaning there are no external cords, so you can place this beautiful box on a shelf, desktop or any location you choose and not worry about plugging it in. Better yet, all lighting is LED, meaning you can leave this unit on for days and not worry about battery life Size is about about 6 x 6 inches and 4 deep (15 x 15 x 10 cm).

Comes with a frame similar to the one shown for the Convent kit, above. The ornate golf frame shown above is for display only.

Hollow Toad (1" scale) $225-$245
The Hollow Toad is a quaint pub right on the edge of a busy part of Bristol, and has long been a favorite place to enjoy a quiet pint and chat with old friends.

In this two-day class, you will use a pre-built box, rig the interior lighting and create a faux wattle and daub timbered exterior. A solid wooden door, aged and weathered, stands beneath a shingled overhang. Moss, age, dampness, and weather have conspired to make this pub look as old as it is, and you will apply various techniques to the window frames, walls, all timbers and other outside objects to create these effects. You will use Paperclay to create all brickwork, alter and install the windows, and attach the exterior lamp and flower boxes. All levels welcome. All tools and supplies provided. The finished pub scene is surrounded by a mahogany frame. The exterior of the box is a crackled brown. The box size is approximately 8 x 8 inches, and 4 deep (20 x 20 x 10 cm), slightly larger with the frame attached.
I am regularly creating new kits. Currently under construction, by request, are: 1" scale Japanese Moonlit room (as opposed to the 1/2" scale one below), and the Seaside Shanty. If you have a request, let me know and I'll see if I can add it to the queue.
Exterior
Kits come with supplies and objects and most building materials needed to complete the scene as shown. However paints, glues, and scrap wood are required and must be bought.

Most kits come with a choice of plain exterior, or walnut or mahagony veneer finish pre-applied. Plain is good if you want to dress it up with color, texture or other style. The veneer is a great choice for a finished, solid wood look. Specify your choice
when you order.

NEW Japanese Moonlit Room (1" scale) $225-$260
This box measures 13" wide by 11" high and 10" deep. Since all lighting is by LED and the unit is battery powered, it is self-contained, meaning no messy cords or transformers. It can easily be placed upon a shelf or desktop.

The room is a four-mat room, small even by Japanese standards. But with a view of a forest of trees outside, the warm glow of a lantern, and stunning moonlight casting shadows upon the shoji screens and tatami, it is sure to transport any viewer to a peaceful place.
Options
This box, like most of my kits, has options. You can choose a plain exterior, or a veneer of walnut or mahagony, which I apply for you. You can also choose either a paper ceiling or veneer ceiling.
