I have once again had the pleasure of being one of a handful of instructors at Miniature in Tune, a week-long summer school dedicated to the creation and enjoyment of miniatures as an art form. Held in Denmark every July, people come from all across Europe and the world. Regulars and new faces from Europe, Canada, US, Australia, Singapore, UK and elsewhere gather for a week of learning, building, and relaxation. The venue is a 19th-century farm that has been converted into a quaint setup with dormitories, classrooms and work spaces, not to mention the most excellent Scandinavian food.
Whether you're a seasoned veteran or are just beginning, if building miniatures with great instructors during a relaxing summer week in Denmark appeals to you, get yourself to Denmark!
The new DIY:
In one of my workshops we built a 1:24 scale vignette called "Luce" (loo-chay, Italian for “light”). It is a small box-shaped piece with two sources of light featuring interesting angles and corners. I do not plan to teach this one as a workshop any longer. But fear not—I am working to convert Luce into a DIY. As with all of my DIYs, you receive all parts required. Detailed instructions via video. I expect it to ship the first week of August. To check out or preorder the 1:24 Luce DIY with a 15% discount, use code LIGHT until July 31.
