Since this will be a store, and a store needs shelves, the customer asked me to make them. I made a set of shelves for the back wall and the right wall, as permanent built-ins. The color is a simple stain and I think it gives it the older look you might find an a building like this, and also allows the interior a little more light to contrast with the darker floor and ceiling.
I kept these drawers as appearance-only. However, with one of them I snuck in access to the right-side auxiliary power source.
The shelves are adjustable which allows for varying display sizes, except for the top one which is fixed creating a series of four larger spaces for displaying or storing things you'd normally need a ladder to reach.
I put a couple of cabinets in the lower, reachable parts of the center, which I think give it a nice "storage" effect but also a nice ambient warmth to the room from the wood tones.
