Making the kitchen extension for Camford

The protrusion Sticking out one end of the house is for the kitchen. This bit was probably added on to the original house at some point when someone decided the existing dining/kitchen area could use a little more space.


I have several ways of making windows, each a little different depending on the scale and materials and the look I'm after. Since this is 1:12 scale and subject to scrutiny, I opted for panes on both sides of the glass.



I cut the window openings in the wall, then build interior frames with strips. The glass sits inside the window well and is braced by one side of the strips, and will be encased with the overlapping trim.
